‘Simera is the Greek word for ‘today’. This was the home of this Architect and his ‘artist’ painter wife from 2004 through 2012. It received a Silver medal award from the Association of Licensed Architects in 2009. The two silos and portions of the foundation are original to what was a turn of the 20th century dairy barn. The remainder with intentionally agrarian materials is new construction. Prior to moving from the property this Architect planted over 150 native to SE Wisconsin tree seedlings and an approximately 150 foot square native grass and forbe prairie to further return the 1.21 acre property to its origins.
