Concept sketches with notes for materials options and possible to scale models

Design Development

To scale but limited detail drawings based upon Concept design

To scale drawings (plan, elevation and/or section) indicate colors/finishes – limited notes

Construction Documents

Detailed drawings and specifications that provide buildable 'instructions' to fabricator

Comprehensive detailed drawings in Fabricator’s speak in graphic and/or written documents

Bid or Negotiation

Using Construction Documents seek bids or negotiate with single contractor

Share construction documents with fabricator(s), answer fabricator question in oral, written or graphic format, and review proposals/bids and recommend action

Construction Administration

Review submittals and observe fabrication

Review fabricator shop drawings, observe fabrication for conformance with construction document intent, visit fabricator shop with the client during progress for client approvals, review fabricator progress payment requests, assist on delivery for placement in final location
